Comma Sutra & The Three Deaths of Ebony Black: Edinburgh Fundraiser

14 July, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

This is your last chance to see two brilliant Australian musical comedies before they make their Edinburgh Fringe debuts.

Comma Sutra is an award-nominated musical comedy that celebrates grammar, language, and the joys of erasing apostrophes from café blackboards. Featuring a host of original songs ranging from audaciously pun-filled to downright saucy, Comma Sutra explores what it means to be a language nerd in an age of text speak and emoji. With a love of language that extends beyond just English, polyglot comedian Louisa Fitzhardinge switches effortlessly between four languages as she delves into sign language gone hilariously wrong and Germany’s penchant for weird and wonderful words, culminating in a show-stopping, multilingual finale.

Show time: 7pm (50 minutes. Doors open at 6 30pm)
Ticket prices: General admission for $35, or see both shows for $60!

The Three Deaths of Ebony Black is a critically acclaimed puppet musical, inspired by neuroscientist David Eagleman: “There are three deaths: the first is when the body ceases to function. The second is when the body is consigned to the grave. The third is that moment, sometime in the future, when your name is spoken for the last time.” Described as Death at a Funeral meets The Muppets, this intimate spectacle is as relentless as it is tender. Three acts, ten puppets, one corpse. An unforgettable farce and a love letter to lives well lived.

Show time: 8.30pm (50 minutes. Doors open at 8pm)
Ticket prices: General admission for $35, or see both shows for $60!
