The Showroom
The Showroom is our flagship black-box theatre and performance venue in Prahran, ideal for independent theatre, cabaret, comedy, musical theatre, live music, dance, circus and touring productions seeking a flexible theatre hire space in Melbourne.
With a comfortable capacity of 80 - 100 seats, raked seating, a generous stage floor, classy theatrical atmosphere, great acoustics, well appointed dressing/green rooms and backstage facilities, The Showroom is well suited to productions wanting a complete theatre experience with strong audience presence.

The Clubroom
The Clubroom is our intimate small theatre and creative development space in Prahran, ideal for artists looking for a lower-risk alternative to larger venue hire.
With a comfortable capacity of approximately 35 seats, The Clubroom offers a close-up audience experience suited to trial seasons, new writing, solo shows, comedy, cabaret, spoken word, readings, workshops, rehearsals and creative development.
Positioned as a flexible small performance space in Melbourne, The Clubroom is especially useful for artists testing audience response, building new work, or presenting a compact season without the pressure of a larger room.

Rates
We have a few alternative rates to choose from, depending on the type, purpose and duration of your booking.
Lock-Out Rates: Exclusive use of the venue. Usually for standard theatrical-length productions that have an elaborate set up.
Flexi-Share Rates: Usually for smaller and mobile productions. See FAQ for details about Flexi-Share hire
Non-Commercial Rates: For non-ticketed events, private functions, classes, rehearsals, auditions etc. Applicable only during Off-Peak times.
Accessibility
Our theatres are situated on the second level (Level 1) of 48 Clifton St. We can be accessed by stairs only. Please consider this when planning your bump in.
There are 25 steps (including 2 landings) and handrails on both sides from street to foyer.
Despite our efforts, due to the age and configuration of the building, unfortunately wheelchair accessibility cannot be accommodated.
