BINGO! - A NEW MUSICAL

Sam has versions of everything: a house she loves (as long as she ignores the pending move), a loving family (as long as she hides her identity), a community (as long as she plays the right part), a friend (as long as you ignore the fact she's 86), and a girlfriend (as long as she keeps returning calls). In other words, her bingo card is precariously full; she's winning that simple, simple game. But life can catch up to you, and life catches up to Sam… pretty spectacularly.

BINGO!, an original musical by emerging writer Stella Bea Byrne, is about balancing religious family values with finding yourself as you grow up, exploring how people with differing values can live parallel lives without changing their stance, and how 'loving thy neighbour' comes before any prejudice religion holds. This slice-of-life, coming-of-age musical presented by Four Letter Word Theatre centres on connection, loss, and hope. For when life catches up to us; we must simply stop, catch our breath, and start the game again.

*Contains homophobia, in particular, religious homophobia, depictions of religious guilt and trauma, swearing and coarse language, infidelity  & brief mentions of death. Recommended for ages 14+.
